Synopsis
Robin Hood and Maid Marion do their best to rescue the two Babes when they are abandoned in the Woods by the evil Badlot, Sheriff of Nottingham and his nasty side-kick Zit. Robin is helped by Robin’s Merry Men, Little John, Big Mac, and Will Shocking-Pink, while Dame Mistress Myrtle, Schoolteacher and general Dogsbody at the Castle does her best to help but usually makes a mess of it, and Clod the village layabout and his dog Carpenter cause mayhem wherever they go. Much to everyone’s surprise it is Carpenter who saves the day, with the help of the audience. This is traditional Pantomime, true to the original story, with lots of fun and foolery, exciting chases, boos and hisses, music and mayhem and lots of audience participation!
Babes in the Woods has been specially written, by an experienced author and director, for amateur productions and is easily adapted to accommodate small companies and small stages.
