Synopsis
Princess Charmaine is determined to find a true prince to marry, whilst Prince Belvedere is equally determined not to get married. So when he is invited to a garden party at King Rufus and Queen Cinnabar’s palace, he changes clothes with his squire, Bert Gudgeon, in order to avoid the matrimonial trap. His views change upon meeting Charmaine, and unfortunately another wishes the Princesses hand in order to feather his own nest. The Princess, after several tests to separate the rivals, hits on the trick of putting a pea under the mattresses of both, as she thinks, princes.
With Smutch Hogwash and Trivia Doings assisting the bad Prince Feculent, and Nurse Polly Wolly-Doodle ‘helping’ the good guys, mayhem ensues until Prince Belvedere reveals his true colours to win over his love.
Feculent however is a very bad loser and a murder is planned until good triumphs to leave everyone, barring feculent and his aides, happy ever after.
Cast of 10 with chorus participation of palace party guests and servants.
