Wind in the Willows, The Play Script by Richard Hills

Wind in the Willows, The
Richard Hills
The Wind in the Willows is adapted from Kenneth Grahame’s novel telling the story of the adventures of Ratty, Mole and Badger trying to reform Toad of Toad Hall. Toad is forever going off on escapades that get him into trouble, with caravans, cars and boats. When Toad steals and crashes a car, he ends up in prison, where he escapes dressed as a washerwoman, is pursued by police on a train and eventually ends up back with his friends, only to find that his home has been taken over by Weasels and Stoats. Ratty, Mole and Badger have to come to his rescue. 21 character parts plus 4 young field mice who sing a carol. A number of easy to stage scenes. Ideal play for youth groups.
