Some of My Best Friends are Women Carole Tricker A bright and breezy comedy which takes a humorous look at the women members of a book-reading group...a few bottles of wine...and a couple of men!! The five women featured are the remnants of an unsuccessful book reading group. Lynn is determined to keep the group together but it appears a lost cause. Dorothy is convinced that if only the group would stick to the rules and actually read the books then all would be well. Amanda likes nothing better than to wind up the others. Her extra alcohol loosens tongues and much is said that would be best unsaid. Dorothy storms off, gets lost and has to be rescued by Steve, a young, book-reading fireman. He brings Dorothy back safely and sets pulses racing in Jill and Helen. As the evening stumbles from one crisis to another, these two form an unexpected alliance. At the end of the evening it looks as if the book group will carry on, with a new member- Christopher.
