Stranger in Stanley’s Room, The George Freek In this parody of Tennesee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire when Stella discovers her sister Blanche has lost the family farm, she invites Blanche to live with her and poet husband Stanley. However Blanches abrasive, paranoid personality soon grates on the gentle, mild-mannered Stanley. Then when Stanley becomes suspicious of the ’loss’ of the farm and Blanches begins dating Stanley’s best friend Twitch, and Stella is suddenly rushed to the hospital for a premature birth, it takes forbearance and understanding to resolve the situation with good will and good humour.
