Buy Online Cast Summary Hotel of Death: 3M 3M + 1 Either Synopsis Twenty years ago while Sue Weston, a 23 year old wife and mother, was working as a croupier, she overheard her employer, Brian Upton, telling a colleague in his drug-dealing business, that he’d had to shoot a policeman who had discovered drugs in his car when he had stopped him to warn his of a faulty light. Upton told his friend he had locked the gun in his safe. Sue, upset and afraid had told her husband, David, what she had heard and he persuaded her to make a statement to the police. With her evidence the gun was found in Upton’s safe and he was arrested. At his trial Sue gave evidence of what she had overheard and when he was sentenced, Upton threatened to ‘get’ Sue no matter how long it took. He was sentenced to life, and actually served 20 years. Sue lived in fear he would get someone else to kill her while he was in jail, so David left the police force and they went to Devon, where they were unknown, and made a new life.
