Synopsis
Tom Cross, the miller, divides his belongings between his three sons, giving the youngest, Chris, his beloved cat, Bob, not revealing that Bob can talk. In return for his friendship, Bob is prepared, and intelligent enough, to convince all and sundry that Chris is in truth the Marquis of Carabas, and quite a good catch for Princess Deborah, King Richard of Ponderham’s daughter. Chris’s brothers, Ben and Jack, learning of Bob’s amazing ability, attempt to take the cat from Chris, and Griswald, the ogre, wants the Princess for himself. Only Sally Slapper-Diddle and Chester the Jester can help to save the day, rid the land of the ogre and allow everyone to live happily ever after.
Cast of 12 principals with chorus parts of villagers, palace servants and a lion.
